A hometown, family business

John and Monika Highfill are a husband and wife team dedicated to delivering personal customer service and quality portraits for you. John has been in photography most of his life. His father, Jim Highfill, Sr., owned Rembrandt Studios for over 40 years. Rembrandt Studios was once synonymous with school photography throughout the Midwest. John remembers riding a city bus downtown after school to “work” for his dad.

Bringing photography into the 21st Century

John is an alumnus of Winona International School of Professional Photography. John has received several awards as a lecturer to other photographers throughout the Midwest. He has also worked as a consultant for other photography businesses. Monika married into the business in January 2000. Both John and Monika attend seminars and workshops to learn new photography styles, poses and background ideas that can be used both in the studio and on location. Our desire to stay on the very cutting edge of what’s new in professional photography has opened doors to creative new ideas.
