About Our Studio

Scott Augustine, the proprietor, has been photographing professionally for over 30 years. He successfully ran three studios in New York before moving to Clarkesville, Georgia and starting Lasing Impressions.

We are located at 683 Grant St. Clarkesville, Ga. 30523. You will find us right past the old Clarkesville Mill. Our spacious shooting area is surrounded by window lighting, creating a more natural and comfortable setting. We also have ample outdoor shooting area including the banks of the Soque River.

We offer Location sessions at your request. Our studio photographs babies, children, families, seniors, events, weddings, and more. We also offer commercial photography.

Our goal is to capture moments that will last a lifetime!

A GUIDE TO MAKING PORTRAITS THAT TOUCH THE HEART AND DECORATE THE HOME

Casual clothing compliments portraits made in outdoor environments.

Image with story-telling content or that portray special interest of the person(s) make a decorative personal statements.

For individuals, simple long-sleeved garments in medium to dark tones of brown, gray, burgundy, green or blue are pleasing choices when photographed against a medium or dark background.

Couples or Families should choose simple garments with the same tonal range.

CLOTHING TO AVOID WHEN BEING PHOTOGRAPHED

Bold stripes, plaids, checks and prints.

Bright colors, such as pink and orange.

Light colors that approximate flesh tones.

Wearing multiple colors, stripes, etc in Couples or Families groups.

TURN LEFT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE EXIT RAMP AND CONTINUE BACK UNDER THE BRIDGE. CLARKESVILLE IS 5 MILES FROM THE BRIDGE WHERE 197 MERGES WITH HIGHWAY 441 NORTH. WHEN IN DOWNTOWN CONTINUE STRAIGHT ON 197/441N FOR 4 BLOCKS NORTH OF THE DOWNTOWN BUILDINGS AND WE ARE ON THE LEFT, PAST THE OLD CLARKESVILLE MILL. (JUST LOOK FOR THE OLD RED BARN AND WATER TOWER!)

APPROX. TIME FROM I-85 HIGHWAY 17 EXIT IS 40 MINUTES FROM THE NORTH TAKE I-85 SOUTH THE HIGHWAY 17 EXIT (LIVONIA/TOCCOA) AND TURN LEFT AND THE END OF THE RAMP. CONTINUE ON 17 TOWARD TOCCOA, TAKE A LEFT ON 17ALT. AT THE SUPER WALMART, AND CONTINUE ON THE PARKWAY INTO CLARKESVILLE. IN CLARKESVILLE TURN RIGHT ONTO 197/441 NORTH AT THE STOP SIGN AT THE INGLES GROCERY. FROM THE WEST TAKE THE GEORGIA 400 HIGHWAY TOWARD DAHLONEGA AND TAKE A RIGHT ONTO HIGHWAY 115 EAST TO CLEVELAND, GA. IN CLEVELAND, STAY STRAIGHT ON HIGHWAY 115

EAST TO CLARKESVILLE FOR APPROX. 17 MILES. IN CLARKESVILLE, AT THE RED LIGHT OF HIGHWAY 115 AND 197/441 (COURTHOUSE ON YOUR LEFT) TURN LEFT AND CONTINUE ON 441 NORTH FOR 4 BLOCKS NORTH OF THE DOWNTOWN BUILDINGS AND WE ARE ON THE LEFT, PAST THE OLD CLARKESVILLE MILL.
